Mercury Acquires Alexis Hornbuckle

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Title IX passing, the Mercury will honor and celebrate all women who were impacted by the legislation. Mercury Announces 2012 Schedule

The WNBA today announced the Phoenix Mercury’s full 34-game schedule for the 2012 season, which runs from May 20 - Sept. 23, including a month-long Olympic hiatus from July 14 - Aug. 15. The Mercury tips off facing the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. PT on ABC.

Mercury Acquires Andrea Riley

On Thursday, the Phoenix Mercury acquired guard Andrea Riley from the Tulsa Shock in exchange for guard Temeka Johnson. Riley was originally drafted in 2010 by the Los Angeles Sparks.

Christensen Returns to Phoenix

Former Mercury forward Kayte Christense is returning to Phoenix as the new social media sideline reporter for the Phoenix Suns, the first position of its kind for a professional sports franchise. Christensen will join the club’s home-game broadcasts to share comments from fan discussions taking place on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
